Sensei Rick Aldred

Sensei Rick Aldred 4th Dan Ju Jitsu

Rick began training in Ju-Jitsu in 1979 at Bolton's Silverwell Street sports centre where he was awarded a yellow belt before the class closed. Shortly after this Rick joined an Aikido club at the same venue where he trained for approximately 6 months before this club also closed.

In 1981 Rick joined a Ju-Jitsu club in Walkden run by Professor Charles Allmark, he trained at this club up to Green belt before moving to train with Sensei John Greenhalgh in Monton.

Rick achieved his Shodan in May 1985, Nidan in September 1987 and Sandan in 1994. After this he took some time off from martial arts to spent with his young family before later starting training in Karate-Jitsu under Sensei Paul Swift from Wigan, with whom he gained his blue belt.

He eventually returned to his roots at Sensei Greenhalgh's club and gained his Yondan in September 2008.
